New Student Safety Campaign "Think Before" Launched
A new digital student safety campaign has been released by the Victoria Police, ISANA and the Australia Network, along with governments, institutions and other stakeholders across all states and territories.
The campaign, titled Think Before, is designed to encourage international students to be aware of their surroundings, particularly when travelling at night or on public transport.
Although Darwin is a very safe place to live, work and study, ICAE encourages students, agents and partners to visit the Think Before website and to maintain constant awareness of student safety while studying or promoting study in Australia. The website is also available in a mobile version: http://m.thinkbefore.com.
The Safety Tips section of the website has been translated into 13 languages including Hindi, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean and Nepalese.
Students can also connect with Think Before through popular social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
The animation shown below, illustrates George, a fictional international student, making his way through potentially dangerous situations.
