ICAE continues success at NT Training Awards.
ICAE was awarded the runners up prize for Training Provider of the Year at the Northern Territory Training Awards held in Darwin on the 13th of September. ICAE has had previous success in 2005 and 2006 and this award adds to ICAE’s ever-growing trophy cabinet.
Casino School students finish mid-semester exams.
The current intake of Casino School students have finished their first set of exams for the course. The exams covered ten units over the four subjects that the students have been studying throughout the first half of semester one. The subjects assessed were Business Skills, Managing People, Intro to F&B Knowledge and Intro to Hospitality.
Degree Pathway Now Available.
Through a collaboration between ICAE and ICHM and Tafe SA, both in Adelaide, Casino School students can now follow on to a degree course after graduating from the Advanced Diploma programme. Students will get the chance to work and study in two of Australia’s most delightful cities, while studying the world’s most exciting industry, hospitality management. Part 1: Make Your Study Interesting
Every student has been trapped in the throes of boredom and frustration while trying to study. When we find ourselves thinking about study in such a negative way, most of us will just procrastinate and spend the last few days leading up to the due date cramming in a manic fashion.
Well, contrary to popular belief, study doesn’t have to boring and monotonous. There are ways to be creative with your studying and make it a manageable part of your educational vocation.
ICAE has updated international student policies, procedures, payment structures and forms. All updates came into effect on the 15th of September. Previous policy, payment structures and procedures will be honored for any applications that were received before that date.

Manila, PhilippinesAs the Casino School’s first international student, Kathryn is the official flag-bearer for this exciting new hospitality programme. Hailing from Manila, Philippines, Kathryn has previously worked for the Intercontinental Hotels Group and has experience in reservations and customer service.
Students who would like to improve their English skills before commencement of the Casino School course can now complete Certificate IV in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course with ACL Darwin. Completion of this course will satisfy the English requirements for entry into the Casino School’s advanced diploma programme.
