Darwin Host to Future of Motoring
In October, Darwin hosted competitors from 17 countries, including high profile manufacturers such as BMW, Ford and Suzuki, as part of this year’s Global Green Challenge.
This eco friendly event was held on the 24th of October and was separated into two categories; the Eco Challenge, where manufacturers create the most energy efficient cars possible; and the Solar Challenge where competitors can only power vehicles using the sun’s energy.
Japan's Tokai University won the overall prize, reaching speeds of up to 150km/h on its way down the 3000km Stuart Highway from Darwin to Adelaide.

Coober Pedy
Complete with underground hotels, underground houses and even underground bars, Coober Pedy is a must-see town for the traveller looking for something more unique than your average Australian outback town.
Jason Buxton: Hospitality Trainer
Jason joined ICAE recently after a long career in hospitality. He brings with him considerable experience and knowledge across a broad range of fields and is now putting it on show for ICAE’s Casino School students.
Ryan Presbitero
Originally from the Philippines, Ryan joined ICAE in January 2009. He is currently completing his Industry Placement at the Sunset Restaurant located inside Skycity Darwin. Although his background is in the medical profession, he has taken to the hospitality industry very well and has received great accolades from trainers and supervisors alike.
Christmas; a time to celebrate, and if you’re in Australia, head to the beach for some summer fun! Although most Aussies celebrate the coming of St Nick, the holiday season is definitely not restricted to Christmas. For some of our students, the holiday season could go through April, with celebrations and festivals aplenty.
