Where are you from? Hongkong, New Territory.

Do you have any hospitality or casino work experience
I don’t have any work experience in this area but I once went to the big casinos in Macau. I had a go at gambling but I didn’t win.

Why did you choose the Casino School?
Because the Casino School offers a unique blend of gaming and other hospitality concepts such as Food and Beverage. With this combination, I can have a go at the vast opportunities in the hospitality industry.

Most interesting part of the hospitality industry? Favorite part of the course so far?
So far, I’ve only done gaming [training] sessions. I like the knowledge and skills am getting. I see myself being in a very responsible role in gaming because I will be doing it to serve the customers. I have also learnt that one needs to be of good character to work in the gaming area because you’re there to provide a service to people in a responsible way.

What are most looking forward to?
I want to learn more about other areas of the hospitality industry so that I can widen my understanding of the industry.

Advice for future students?
Darwin is a good environment to study. I would encourage prospective students to come and explore the opportunities in Darwin.

Post graduation plans?
I wish to do more dealer training with SkyCity to get more experience in this area after my graduation. I would also like to get a job here once I get my qualification.

How does Darwin Compare to Hong Kong?
I like Darwin because it’s a developing City and I see many career opportunities. When I first got here, I was amazed at how quiet the City was on weekends because I was coming from a very noisy city in Hong Kong. I like Darwin and am glad I chose this place to study.
